News from Estonia21.7.2009 The Estonian esp@cenet database contains patent applications, granted patents and utility models dating from 1994, when the Patents Act of the Republic of Estonia entered into force and the granting of patents started again following the end of the Soviet period. The Estonian Patent Office arranges training courses for SMEs, which include an introduction to esp@cenet, and provides consultations free of charge. Training is organised by the SME Support Division, which was set up for this purpose and has its own section on the Estonian version of the Estonian Patent Office website.
