Improved access to Lithuanian industrial property rights on esp@cenet

19.2.2009

The Lithuanian Patent Office publishes data relating to Lithuanian industrial property rights on esp@cenet.

The Lithuanian esp@cenet server contains patent applications (A documents) and patents (B documents) published by the Lithuanian office from 26 January 1998 onwards. The esp@cenet worldwide database contains patent data protected in the Republic of Lithuania since 15 October 1992 (Soviet Union re-registrations included).

The Lithuanian office also publishes trade marks and designs protected in the Republic of Lithuania. The data on these trade marks and designs are contained in the Lithuanian official gazette - “Inventions, Designs, Trade Marks” - and the office's trade mark and design databases.

The patent and trade mark databases were developed using the Common Software available for patents and trade marks. Thanks to co-operation with the Romanian patent office, the Lithuanian office has been able to introduce Common Software for designs as well.

Furthermore, an online design database containing data on registered industrial designs and applications filed direct with the Lithuanian office was launched earlier this year.

Industrial property searches and other services are provided by the Patent Information Center of the Lithuanian Technical Library.
