Croatia

Croatia joined the European Patent Organisation as full member state with effect from 1 January 2008. Croatia has hit the ground running, with the roll out of its own national esp@cenet server, hr.espacenet.com running under EPTOS. This platform makes it easy to maintain and upgrade the service. There will be more news about hr.espacenet.com in a later editorial on this page.
The database contains HR A and B documents going back to 1994. Because of EPTOS, the user interface has some more sophisticated search features such as date range searching, de-restricted number of search terms and full text searching. The EPTOS flexibility also allows customised technical developments to be implemented according to the particular usage profiles and user requirements in Croatia.
